ABSO Privacy Policy
ABSO (“the app”) is a workout timer and log for iPhone, made by Muhammad Ridhwaan, an individual developer based in Japan (“I”, “me”). This policy explains what the app collects, why, who processes it, and how to delete it.
In short
- You sign in (email code, Apple, or Google) so your workouts sync to your account.
- Your workouts are stored on your phone and in a cloud database.
- I use analytics to see how the app is used and to fix errors. Analytics are linked to a random account ID, not to your name or email.
- No ads. I don’t sell your data, and the app doesn’t track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
- You can delete your account and workout data at any time inside the app.
1. Account information
Your email address and an account ID. If you sign in with Apple or Google, I also receive the name and profile picture they share (Apple may give a private relay email address instead of your real one). This is used to sign you in and keep your data separate. It’s handled by Clerk, the sign-in provider.
2. Workout data
Your workout templates (exercise names, sets, reps, rest times) and workout history (workout type, completion time, duration). These are stored on your device and synced to a database linked to your account ID, handled by Supabase.
3. Usage and diagnostics
These are linked to your account ID and handled by PostHog (United States). They include:
- screens viewed
- taps (which on-screen element and where, not what you type)
- workout events, including exercise names, set counts and durations
- when the app is opened or closed
- device model, iOS version, app version, language and region setting, time zone and screen size
- error reports when the app hits an error
IP addresses are not stored and are not used to work out your location.
What the app does not collect
Your location, contacts, Apple Health data, advertising identifier or payment details.
Camera and photos
If you use the QR scanner, the camera image or chosen photo is processed only on your device and is not uploaded.
Notifications
Rest-timer alerts are scheduled on your device. No push-notification server is used.
Service providers
Clerk (sign-in), Supabase (database) and PostHog (analytics) process data on my behalf, and may store it in the United States and other countries. I don’t share your data with anyone else, or for advertising.
Keeping and deleting your data
I keep your account and workout data while your account exists.
Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account permanently deletes:
- your account
- your workout data in the database
- the app’s data on your device
Analytics records stay linked only to the deleted account’s random ID. To have those deleted too, email me.
If you used Sign in with Apple, you can also remove the app’s access in iPhone Settings → your name → Sign-In & Security → Sign in with Apple.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, and I don’t knowingly collect their data.
Your choices
You can ask me for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete it, by emailing the address below.
Changes
If this policy changes, I’ll update this page and its effective date.
